Suggest Treatment For Pain Under Shoulder Blade With Numbness In Arm And Finger

Good afternoon, It s not for me... My husband has been having pain underneith his right sholder blade and its causing his right arm and fingures to go numb... On Christmas day I rushed him into emerg as he thought he was having a heart attach... after 2x blood work, ct scan, chest xray the doc s were puzzled and said take these perks, naprox. and gabapenten and sent him home... til this day there is no improvement and he s still in lots of pain... we are both fustraighted and would like to get to the bottom of this... I know its hard to give answers without seeing a pt but we are up for trying anything at this point and time!!

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain under shoulder blade with numbness in arm and finger . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like disc problem , cervical spondylosis or trapezius muscle spasm, but in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are probably related to heart condition . So i would suggest you to consult cardiologist once also . Doctor may order ECG, TMT , troponin t test and complete blood profile . Doctor may prescribe blood thinners , calcium channel blockers along with diuretics . Some times doctor may order angiography or refer you to orthopedic surgeon in case there is no cardiac problem .
