Suggest Treatment For Pain On The Right Side Of The Rib Cage

I have a nerve pain on my right side in the rib cage area. I was diagnosed with this years ago. Went for injections in the rib cage area to calm the nerve pain. I have also been taking Elivil 20 mg at night which relieved the problem. I stopped taking the Elavil and the pain has come back. I went to the drs thinking maybe it was more than the nerve pain the pain now goes directly down into the lower abdomen almost like my ovaries are being affected. Not sure if this is a sign of appendices. I have no nausea or fever.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It could be due to conditions like costochondritis. As of now you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like Aceclofenac/Seratiopeptdase for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
