Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Upper Chest Area

Hi, I m experiencing a dull aching pain in my upper left chest, close to the collar bone, extending to my shoulder. The area isn t sensitive to the touch but has been aching for the past 2 days getting progressively worse. Aside from pain killers, is there anything more I should do?

Hello

Left upper chest pain may be due to many reasons like lung cause, musculoskeletal causes etc.
You may need clinical correlation and few investigations.
Chest X-ray (PA view)should be taken to exclude pulmonary causes.
If musculoskeletal cause is indicated then you may need rest, hot fomentation, analgesics, muscle relaxants.
If findings persists then you may need further evaluation.

Take Care
