Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Testicles

My partner has been diagnosed with sciatica, but is worried because the shooting pain comes from his left testicle. Our doctor has checked his testicles and prostate and given him the all clear for anything more sinister and prescribed anti-inflammatories. The pain is worsening and has been a constant for 2 months now. Our doctor said the cause was a muscle strain, but when I read up on sciatica online most of the underlying causes seem to stem from spinal column issues - herniated disc, spinal stenosis. Should our doctor be looking more thoroughly into underlying cause just now? My partner is in increasing pain and we are both worried. Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
The history of your partner reveals that there might be two overlapping symptoms, one due to sciatica and the other due to testicular pain. I suggest you to undergo imaging studies for the testicular pain to identify any underlying etiology.
Hope this helps.
