Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Side Of Neck

Hi. I have been having a lot of pains on the left side of my neck every time I breathe in! It doesn't feel muscular as my muscles don't feel tight! I also have lots of stomach/back pain when I eat acid/fatty foods but I'm not sure this is related. Have u any idea what it could be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The trachea which is part of the upper airway, passes through the neck but this is central and the sides of the neck normally do not have a role.

The aches in your stomach due to acidic/fatty foods are due to GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) and would not affect the pain that you are having in your neck.

If this discomfort does not feel muscular then it is possible that it is related to the other surrounding soft tissues.
You may want to try a pain killer such as ibuprofen, naproxen or cataflam to see if one of these helps you.

I hope this helps
