Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Left Foot

My name is Jim. While remodeling my bathroom, I was in a kneeling position. I push upward on my left foot. I felt a ripping sensation followed by pain on the outside of my foot just below and behind the ankle bone. It hurts to stand, walk, bend the left foot. It s swollen in the area where the pain is located. I ve had ice on it. I m trying to stay off it.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi dear thanks for writing to Healthcare Magic!!
It seems to be ankle sprain so i advise you to apply crap elastic bandage to restrict the movement, hot water plates to reduce the swelling, tab ibuprofen and Hifenac TH to reduce the pain and swelling, try to rest as much as possible, do not allow much on your ankle, If problem persists then Xray,MRI and clinical examination from Orthopaedics is advisable.
Hope this information helps
Thanks and regards
