Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I am 39 years old. For 3 weeks now I have been experiencing some mild pain in my ribs. Usually after I eat, I feel super full and I feel something like a bubble forming under my left breast that makes my ribs hurt. Then I get a pain that follows the shape of the bottom of my rib cage that begins in the center and radiates all across my front. Then I can burp and feel release until it build up again. I wonder if it could be my back because when I raise my arms it feels like I have ribs that are rubbing together. I get a feeling of sharp pains in my whole chest area when I take a breath in but after a few minutes it will go away and not come back, this issue only happens of a morning after I get out of bed.
Hello, I have studied your case. Such chest pain or discomfort can be due to following causes. 1.It can be due to more workload on heart - You should not take these symptoms lightly. Get your heart checkup as soon as possible. It includes ECG and blood pressure measurement. 2. Second cause can be GERD. It can be due to increase acid on stomach. It can be tackle by avoiding fatty foods. 3. Least common cause can be a chest infection. It can be find out by a chest x ray. So I would recommend you to go to your physician and get these tests as early as you can. I hope you will find this answer helpful. Let me know if you want to ask any other questions. Thanks.
