Suggest Treatment For Pain In Lower Rib Cage After An Injury

Hi, a few days ago I tripped on my water bottle and landed on the corner of a shelf hard, with my lower right rib cage. I immediately iced it and took advil and rested. I went back to work the next two days and seemed fine, just a little pain. Yesterday, I was in more pain and then I stretched in bed last night and heard a pop and am now in more pain and feel like I m laying on a bar on my right side, higher up from the initial injury. It was uncomfortable to move all night and I can feel movement and clicking in that area when I turn. Not sure who to see today, chiropractor, doctor or just go to the hospital?? Thanks

Hi. You probably have a costochondritis secondary to the injury though a minor fracture is also a possibility. Please visit an orthopedicianat the earliest. Until then take diclofenac 50 mg twice a day. Take care.
