Suggest Treatment For Pain In Inner Part Of Knee Post Injury
I hurt my knee skiing on Christmas Day 9 days ago and my knee is still hurting really bad. This pain is mainly the inner part of my knee and I can not straighten it all the way. I walk with a terrible limp and it is making my calf muscles hurt as a result. I don't know if I should try to exercise it to get full range of motion or if I should just completely rest, elevate, and compress my knee. Should I use ice and heat? Or just ice? I am a dental assistant and I am on my feet all day. I go back to work on Monday and I do not have health insurance. I really can't afford to be out of work and I want to speed up my recovery. What should I do?
From the problems listed in your question it looks like you have sustained injury to the inner structures of your knee joint ( like meniscal tea, ligamentous sprain). You should consult an orthopedic surgeon for further management. Best wishes.....
