Suggest Treatment For Pain In Hip Radiating To Leg And Ankle

I planted tulip bulbs last weekend and developed a pain in the left side of my hip that runs down the left side of my leg to my ankle. I got online and read about the stretch exercise of crossing the leg over the other and pulling it towards my chest and to the oppisite side. It helps for awhile then it comes back. I have also been rubbing on a thin layer of biofreeze. For a couple of nights I slept through the night before it woke me up but now it is waking me around 3:30. What should I do?
