Suggest Treatment For Pain In Ankles

What can I do to eleviate pain in ankle. Have had since January. Othopetic guy thought it was posterior tibial tendon insufficiency. Wore boot for 2 months and then got orthotics. Have been trying to use those for past 2 months and they seemed to have made my other foot hurt, but when quite wearing the orthotics my good foot stopped hurting, also when wearing them the foot that has the issues now is swelling around the backside of my ankle and around the outside of the ankle bone, very sore to touch and swollen. Any ideas?
