Suggest Treatment For Pain In Ankle After An Injury

I'm a hard-nosed US paratrooper and I injured my right ankle on a jump about 4 yrs ago (rolled it inward under my body weight- 225lbs), but I never seen a physician. It took months to heal but ever since then it has cracked, been a little sore, and has been very easy to roll. Just recently I rolled it and it has been painful (6 on a scale to 10) but does not swell nor discolor. I am skeptical of Army doctors and want to be sure that it is something worth getting looked at before entrusting them not to treat me like I am faking. Any advise?
