Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Her symptoms are somewhat unusual (I am assuming she is not older than 30 years of age). Lack of blood flow to the extremities can be caused by a number of things, in older adults we see this with plaque build up in the arteries which occlude the blood supply, however this seems unlikely with her age.

Potassium deficiency can also cause the peripheral blood vessels to clamp down and constrict blood flow to the arms and legs and this would also produce some heart irregularities. Stimulants medications (please do not be offended by this statement, I am just providing all possible considerations I can think of, as well as certain illicit drugs would produce a similar effect of rate heart rate, low potassium and severe leg and arm cramps.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
