Suggest Treatment For Pain At Incision Site Post Surgery

I had a hip fracture that was surgically treated with three titanium pins. Six months later, following rehab, physical therapy, and now home daily ultrasound treatments, I still have pain in the area of the incision. Could I be allergic to the titanium pins?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I don't think you may be allergic to titanium since it is one of most unallergic products and pain isn't a real sign of allergy. I think the pain still comes from the procedure.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka , General & Family Physician
