Suggest Treatment For Pain And Swelling On Foot

I accidentally dragged a heavy metal piece of my Xmas tree over the top of my foot (in a canvas tree bag, so no broken skin!) - andfelt like a grinding feeling (and quite a bit of pain). It s about at arch distance from my toes, on the outer edge side and now it is swelling and painful to try to move my toes. The swelling appears to be between where the bones between my pinky and 2nd toe come up along the top of my foot. Ice should be fine, right? The object probably only weighed about 70lbs, so I don t think I could have broken it...
