Suggest Treatment For Pain And Swelling In The Knees

My legs, from my thighs to my feet, especially from my knees to my feet have been swollen the last several weeks with no explanation. I have also gained about 40 pounds in approximately 4 - 5 months with no explanation. And by no explanation I mean from my primary doctor, from neurologist, nor my psychologist. I just had surgery to implant an interstem for urinal and fecal incontinence. Any ideas??

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you should visit a nephrologist because the swelling is edema.

The edema may be caused by renal insufficiency or heart insufficiency.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka,
General & Family Physician
