Suggest Treatment For Pain And Swelling In Testicles

My fiance hit one of his testicles this afternoon with a hammer and he is still in serious pain. The testicle is swollen, he is sick to his stomach, and pain is radiating down his leg and up his side. Do you think that he should seek immediate attention?

General Surgeon 's  Response
HI.
Noted the history related to your boyfriend getting an injury to the testicle by hammer.
The testis is swollen and in pain, which is local and also spreading to leg and the upper side.
The testicle is swollen and he is sick to the stomach.
I would advise you the following:
Urgent reporting to ER.
Color doppler and ultrasonography
Consult Urologist.
May need surgery now or later if the complications occur.
