Suggest Treatment For Pain And Swelling In Lower Shin
What causes a delay in the appearance of a bruise after a hard hit? I feel bike riding on Sunday evening. I can feel some swelling, and pain when touching the injury. It sometimes hurts when I walk (slight pain). This is on my lower shin. I can still see no sign of a bruise.

Bruising occurs if there is damage to the underlying blood vessels in an area.
If there is no damage to these blood vessels, then bruising does not occur. Though your injury may have been severe, the lack of bruising indicates that the underlying vessels are intact.
