Suggest Treatment For Pain And Swelling Due To Ankle Injury

I got hit by a hard line drive softball on my right inner ankle right above the bone. This happened 11 weeks ago and I still have lots of swelling and pain. There is also a knot under the skin where I got hit. The skin above the knot is numb but my ankle hurts under it. What should I do about it?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. The knot on your ankle can be due to haematoma from the injury. As you having lot of swelling and pain it is better to have a X ray to rule out a fracture. If it is fracture it should be stabilised and immobilised for healing. If it is clear from fracture then it can be strain or sprain which can be managed by icing, elevation , elastic bandaging and NSAIDs like nimusulide. Hope this may help you.
Let me know if you have any further queries.
Thanks
