Suggest Treatment For Pain And Restricted Movements In The Shoulder

My left shoulder has hurt since Feb when I had a regulator placed (for DBS) on the right side. I figured over use since right side was healing. Also I have had a cervical fusion C3-7 2.5 years ago. I am now having pain in C2 area, down neck, across the back side to my shoulder, and pain is now radiating past elbow. Limited movement, loosing ability to open bottles. The area is acting both neuro and bursitis or tendinitis. Any ideas? Tylenol, Motrin, soma and Norco s have no effect, also Lyrica. Getting worse daily. Help or ideas?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a pinched nerve. I recommend doing an X-ray to exclude other possible causes. I also recommend continuing using painkillers. I suggest ice compresses and maintain the area immobilised.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
