Suggest Treatment For Pain And Popping Sensation In Ankles

Hello, Tuesday night I squatted down to pick up a tall spray can of window cleaner. I kinda lost my balance and heard a popping noise in my left ankle, which was followed by a lot of pain. I decided to call it a night and fell asleep with it iced and elevated. Long story not short, I think I hurt my Achilles Tendon? I can t flex my foot toward the ceiling or the floor, though I can move it slightly in those directions, also I can wiggle my toes. I don t really want to go to the doctor if this is something I can just baby and stretch back to working order. The left ball of my left ankle is puffy, as is back by my heel and calf on the right side. What worries me most is that my left leg is cooler that my right one? Anyways, Thanks in advance for any suggestions. SW

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I don't think that one leg feeling cooler than the other one is related to this incident. I think the incident has caused you to have tendonitis. Continue to use anti-inflammatory drugs for pain and swelling.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka
