Suggest Treatment For Pain And Burning Under Rib Cage And Back
I had lyme disease in June. Ever since then I ve had pain and burning under my right rib cage and pain around my back. My doctor thought it was gallbladder problems. I had a ct scan and it was negative. I have an appointment with a gastro doctor on the 16th. The pain is getting worse and is constant. Any ideas on what it could be? Nothing makes it worse or better
Hello As per your description of the clinical symptoms it seems that the followings can be probable reason for your discomfort- 1. As already described by your physician the most probable cause could be a pathology of the Gall bladder ( cholecystitis or cholelithiasis ). 2 The second most probable cause could be a pathology of the liver or the hepato-biliary system. It should accompany certain other symptoms like nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia, flatulance etc. 3. Any kind of muscle spasm or sprain. 4. A costochondritis ( an infection of the costal cartilage and the ribs). A USG of the whole abdomen and blood tests (liver function test ) may give you a diagnosis. Please visit your Gastroentrologist for further evaluation and managent. Thank you.
