Hello,

You have not mentioned about what type of side effects he is having. However, if you feel its side effects you can taper the dose of Celexa but never stop & keep the treating doctor informed.

If you stop any medication suddenly by your self then the symptoms of withdrawal & side effects may become very serious & at times unmanageable.

It's best to take medications as prescribed. Why has he stopped taking Risperidone? It could be withdrawal symptoms because of it. Get him connected to his treating GP at the earliest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
