Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain during and after running the blood flowing to different parts of the body including the teeth and gums is re-routed and the blood flow in lower extremities is increased leading to deficiency of blood and
oxygen in different parts of the body and as the oxygen flow is reduced there can be feeling of
numbness which will be transient and will slowly wean off after few minutes or an hour after the running is over..
There can be relapse of sensations along with
tingling when the blood rushes back into the blood vessels but is not always necessary..
In case if the numbness does not go away or is persistent for days together there can be some pathology associated with the nerves supplying the teeth and gums and in that case consultation with an Oral Pathologist is needed for evaluation..
Hope this information helps..
