Hello,

Numbness of the foot can happen if we sit for long times especially if the nerves that go in the foot are trapped. This may happen if you have a problem with the back or during the trajectory of the nerve down the foot.

Sometimes though it is brain problems that might cause numbness of the foot and falling. Normally the peripheral nerve should be much better within minutes of releasing the nerve.

It is uncommon to last for an hour or more. I would recommend you to see a doctor especially if you are over 40 years of age and the numbness is going on.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
