Suggest Treatment For Numbness And Pain In The Toe
I have a downward, diagonal fracture of my fibula (week old) that is about halfway through the bone. I m experiencing intense pain, sometimes numbness, and reduced mobility of my pinky toe, especially when the foot is propped up in bed overnight. I am in a cast by the way. Is this really bad?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have numbness and pain in the toe . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like sciatica , but there can be other reasons also like neuropathy or vitamin B12 deficiency . Diabetes can also be one of the reason that can cause such symptoms . I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan , MRI or physical examination . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant , vitamin supplement along with physical therapy and stretching exercises . For now do not do exercises , take complete rest and apply warm compresses to leg . Doctor may also refer you to endocrinologist for diabetic foot like condition .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
