Suggest Treatment For Nose Bleed And Headache After Injury

my son hit his nose with his knee on a slip n slide today. it does not look swollen and bled for a while then stopped. hours later, his nose started to bleed again and his left eye became bloodshot, he also has a headache, does he need to go to the emergency room? what symptoms should I watch for that may indicate if this is more serious than it sounds?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Regarding your concern, I would explain that going to the ER for a brain CT scan may be needed, especially if he is sleepy and has gait imbalance. Nausea and vomiting are red flags too. In the meantime, I recommend having some rest.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
