General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to several causes. For further assessment you may require ultrasound of that lump and detailed clinical examination by surgeon consultation. Further treatment mainly depends upon the underlying condition. For pain you can take tablet acetaminophen. Keep your self hydrated. Take balanced diet and proper rest you may require evaluation to rule out any other possibilities for thyroid nodule or lipoma.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
