Suggest Treatment For Nasal Congestion, Cold And Headache

Hi, Im Arlin. I have a stuffy nose nose last week, with yellowish thick discharges after a slight cold. Then Monday night, I have a very bad headache that last almost 2 days, but I thought coz I had my menstruation tuesday morning. But today, thursday morning, my nose started to have a watery yellowish discharges especially when I tilt my head down. Im only concern about the discharges

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of nasal congestion, cold and headache which is due to upper respiratory tract infection and common cold. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take few preventive measures such as you should take cough expectorants. You should take anti inflammatory medication such as Levocetirizine. Need not to worry about thick saliva. You should use throat lozenges and go rinses with warm saline water. You should Chew a Vitamin C pellet. Take decongestants and mucolytic agents. Avoid cold carbonated beverages. Take diet rich in vitamin B12. You should take antibiotics such as Levofloxacin or Azithromycin for 5-7 days. You should get blood test and swab test done. Visit pediatrician once and get it examined.
