Suggest Treatment For Muscle Strain And Soreness In The Leg

Hi my dad is 68 and recently hes had extremely sore left leg,hes limping and he can hardly walk. Hes had it since Wednesday. I phoned the doctor to come to our house and see him as i cant get him to them. They said they thought it was a muscle strain but in not so convinced. Hes taking cocodamol 30/500mg and hes tried tramadol but neither are working. IM so very worried as my dad s usually very active and im concerned it s bone cancer as its in our family. Please can you help. Thank you julie

Hello,

I agree with your doctor about the diagnosis. It seem to be related to a muscular strain. I suggest to use anti-inflammatory medications such as codamol which is prescripted by your doctor. I also suggest to use an anti-inflammatory create a cream for local application such as voltaren gel. If the symptoms continue you should do an x-ray of the leg for further evaluation.
