Suggest Treatment For Multiple Lipomas

Hi sir..i had colonoscopy regarding some issue 1 mnth back.then i have some risk of its cross contamination and a fear of hiv infection from it.then i was get 30day 4th gen. Hiv antigen antibody test which was negative.i have experience sum multiple lipomas from past few days on my back of thigh region and some muscle wasting on my cheeks...is it lipodystrophy?or it could be my doubt or fear..sir plz tell me..will i go for further testing ?how much its risk from colonoscope...am also a doctor sir..plz help me...worried a lot.

Hi,

As per your description it seems like you are having unwanted fear of disease, which is known as “hypochondria”. No need to worry about HIV as you had most sensitive tests and clearly you are negative. Sudden appearance of multiple lipomas are unusual and it could be something else.

Lipodystrophy will not present like this. If the lumps persist, you can consult a physician and get evaluated. Wishing you good health.
