Suggest Treatment For Motion Sickness In Child

Hi. . My 3.5 year daughter vomits while traveling to her school in her school van. As prescribed by a doctor we started giving her 5 ml domstal syrup in the morning. First 4 days she did not vomit and everything was fine. But after that she again started vomiting daily inspite of giving the medicine.

Hi,

I feel she has motion sickness. Please continue the medicine as per directions. Let her sit facing the direction of movement of bus. She should avoid sitting on a wheel (to avoid bumps). Let her have lemon drops(small pieces) to suck. If no relief, take her to doctor for change in dosage or medicine.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
