Suggest Treatment For Mild Hydrocephalus

Hey i had triplets through IVF and they were born on 32 week my son was diagnosed with PDA and he had a stunt closure in which a coil was inserted (no open heart surgery) when he was 5months he has been fine after that, the only thing which was being noticed was all his developmental milestones were very slightly delayed compared to my other 2 child but he is a sharp child good pick up power. Last month i went for his regular checkup so dr ask said that his head size is big get a ct scan done and in the reports it said mild hydrocephalus the growing head was first noticed at the age of 1.3yr and we took him for checkup on 26june firstly and his head hasnt increased in size since than its 50cm till now but dr showed a graph to me and it wasnt gradual it was increasing through out and he showed me CT aswell which showed increased CSF between the ventricle but not too much as the report says its mild hydrocephalus, my kid is perfectly fine i didn t see any unusuall thing in him, kimdly suggest does he need any surgery?

Oncologist 's  Response
Hello,

There is currently no known way to prevent or cure hydrocephalus and the only treatment option today requires brain surgery. With early detection and appropriate intervention of hydrocephalus, the future for many is promising.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Esmeralda Sera, Oncologist
