Suggest Treatment For Migraine

I just started Wellbutrin. I am a daily pt smoker but smoked a small amount today after about a week or so of not smoking. I had the worst migraine I ve ever experienced. Was this due to the marijuana? I mostly use it to sleep at night but I am afraid to smoke again while taking Wellbutrin. I was shaking, felt nauseous and the headache was absolutely debilitating.

Hi.

I understand your concern .

It is not migraine but its withdrawal of nicotine dependance. Long term smoking and bupropion therapy may cause withdrawal symptoms.

It is either psychological or physical.

It is common in intial therapy and gradually it will be resolved.

Stress , headche , fatigue , irritability are common features when cut down occur from heavy smoking.

Bupropion is excellent medicine to control craving from it.

Anti anxiety medicine like clonazepam will help to control withdrawal features.

Nortryptiline can also help.

Internal motivation is must and stick on abstinence may help you to achieve both physical and psychological good health.

Follow your doctor's advise.

Still if you have a query then feel free to ask

Thank you .
