Suggest Treatment For Mastoditis And Hearing Loss?

Hello sir, My sister(aged 20) is diagnoized with mastoditis and has been suffering from hearing lost since the age of 12. She has been operated(Mastoidectomy ) thrice but still continues to suffer. Because of having to visit the dr again and again... she is fed and has not seen the dr since last 1 year.

Could you please suggest further action to help her

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, thank for your query.
In chronic mastoiditis, treatment option is to completely make the mastoid disease free.
This can be obtained only by surgery and good antibiotics coverage.
If its already operated, but still problem is recurring it shows there is incomplete clearance in the mastoid , because of growth of unhealthy granulation tissue.
This also can be cleared only by surgery.
Hearing loss can be because of middle ear problem or hearing nerve weakness caused because of infection.
Treatment option is to use a hearing aid.
