Suggest Treatment For Lump In The Breast Of An Elderly Person

My 96 year old mother in a nursing home has a lump in her breast and a red nipple. She does not want to have a mammogram and said years ago that she would not have another surgery. If we do nothing and it is cancer what might she go through? What should we do?

Hello,

Many a times lumps appear in the breasts and disappear within a few days.

If lump lasts for more than a week, you need to check with your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.

Regards,
