Suggest Treatment For Lump Around Anal Opening

I had a itchy bump by my anus (no anul sex and been with husband for over 6 years) I itched it and it started to burn. I put some Oregano oil directly on it and it burned excessively (as expected) but I thought I could kill/disinfect what ever it is. Now I have a violent red and sore rash all around my anus area. Any suggestions, and would neosporin help?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain in case if you have an itchy bump just at the anal opening it can be a hemorrhoid or piles that occurs due to inflamed and swollen vein present in the anal lining..
In case if it is over the butt cheek around the anal opening it can be a Perianal abscess.
The treatment of the conditions is different, therefore I would suggest you to consult a Proctologist or a General Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation is generally sufficient for diagnosis..
In case of hemorrhoid you can be advised steroid and numbing ointment along with cool compresses fore reducing pain and inflammation..
Sitz bath that is sitting in warm water ub can help..
High fibre diet, drinking plenty of water and stool softeners can also be advised..
In case of perianal abscess antibiotics, anti inflammatory painkiller, topical antibiotic ointments and Incison and drainage can be advised..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
