Suggest Treatment For Lower Abdominal Pain And Bloating

I have been having lots of bowel movements and gas this weekend. Today my lower intestine area became painful with cramp like symptoms. Also, I have chills and am tired. I was away this weekend and ate a black bean burger on Friday night and a Swiss Mushroom burger on Saturday night. I tasted the swiss mushroom burger and it was too red - almost raw - so I sent it back to be cooked. Could I have food poisoning?

Hello,

I do not think it is food poisoning because you do not have vomiting or loose motions.

Some advice that I can give to you for the bloating is:
- Use medication that contain Simethicone
- Avoid chewing gum
- Limit your intake of carbonated drinks
- Avoid foods that cause gas, such vegetables in the cabbage family, dried beans, and lentils
- Eat slowly and avoid drinking through a straw
- Use lactose-free dairy products

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
