Suggest Treatment For Low Blood Pressure And Dizziness
My daughter is seeing a Doctor tomorrow as a follow up for dealing with low blood pressure. She is 13, a competitive gymnast and has been experiencing light headed, dizziness periodically for almost a year. She had a blood pressure monitor take readings for 24 hours and it showed it was low at different times including when she was sleeping. Her ECG and bloodwork results are normal, I want to be sure that we rule out anything that could be serious ~ especially heart conditions. Any suggestions of things I need to ask?
Hello ,I have gone through history of your daughter.overall it seems that she has constitutional blood pressure on lower side. Not serious at all.As you mentioned that ambulatory pressure monitoring reveal low reading .but let me tell you it is natural and necessary that pressure should drop during sleep what we call dipping.if it does not dip it is bad sign.and I presume that she had no symptoms of low pressure during low reading of ambulatory monitoring.so just don't worry.encourage her plenty if fluids. My best wishes.
