Suggest Treatment For Low Back Pain

I ve been having discomfort on my low left side for a few weeks. I believe it is a kidney stone. I was told many many months ago there was the start of one. I have some low back pain as well but have noticed the discomfort moving downward over the past 2 weeks. Most of the discomfort is when I try to turn or lay on my left side. At night and in the early morning , but more discomfort all the time the past few days. What do I do? I m a 56 year old female with no health insurance, numerous other medical conditions and mounting medical bills. Thanks for your help

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

A simple urine analysis would give some information on the possibility of a kidney stone. Another test to consider would be an abdominal ultrasound which would completely rule in or out a kidney stone. Both these tests are low cost and would help determine the diagnosis and possible treatment options.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
