Suggest Treatment For Low Appetite And Depression Post Alcohol Withdrawal

My husband is very sick. He has pneumonia and seen at walk in clinic last week. He is a heavy drinker and now going through withdrawals. He only eats soup and sandwich...which I force down him.His emotional state is really bad. We have been married for 37 years, I have never seen him like this. I am a CNA and know a few things as far as taking care of him physically....but he doesn t want to be alone and I am afraid where this is going...What should I do

I went through your details. Depressive disorder symptoms and low appetite are part of alcohol withdrawal symptoms. Are you in a rehabilitation center or at home ? If at home encourage your husband to drink a lot of water and citrus fruit juices which should reduce the severity of the withdrawal symptoms. Be with him and encourage him for exercises. This withdrawal symptoms could be present for around one month.
