Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of loss of voice due to possible laryngitis which are pointing towards a condition known as ' Silent Reflux' , also known as Laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR) . In this condition the acidic content of esophagus comes backward due to dysfunction of oesophageal sphincter and cause problem like hoarseness of voice. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to :

Avoid spicy and heavy meals specially during night.

Eat at least one hour before going to bed.

Take a light walk after every meal .

Take antacid like gelusil.

Consult gastroenterologist for proper diagnosis. Doctor may order certain tests like X-ray of upper respiratory tract and endoscopy . Doctor may prescribe drugs like ranitidine and omeprazole.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Get Well Soon.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
