General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome to HCM.
Usually treatment is not necessary for a lipoma. However, since it is growing and causing pain it needs to be removed by surgical excision under local anesthesia. This is the most effect way of treatment of lipoma. Recurrences after removal are uncommon. Possible side effects are scarring and bruising.
Advised to consult a general surgeon for further evaluation.
