Suggest Treatment For Leading Poisoning After Using Old Paint

I was scraping a porch with my mom today. After working for about an hour and a half we left to go get the new paint. I didn't think anything of it until I read the back of the paint and the warning about "lead dust." My parents painted the same porch about 4-5 years ago so my mom didn't think I should worry. Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

According to history you are having doubt regarding lead poisoning, for further workup you can check your serum lead level. If your serum lead level is high then only treatment is needed with chilators otherwise no need to worry.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
