Suggest Treatment For Lack Of Hair Growth After A Fire Accident

I was burned when I was 10 years old and lost half or around half of the hair on my head (top and sides). I am 22 now and I don't have a full head of hair and the hair hasn't grown back. I am part bald. I was wondering what kind of specialist I should get into contact with to see about getting a full head of hair. Thank you for answering my question.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello there,
Due to burns the hair follicles in the burnt area get destroyed at the root level and therefore hair buds have to be transplanted onto your burns . Hair transplant surgeons may not achieve as good results as they do on people with intact skin/unburnt skin yet nowadays they are willing to give it a shot. Some Plastic surgeon near your residence of good repute may be able to guide you on how much would it cost and what kind of results can you expect.

Hope this helps,
Dr Arun A
