Suggest Treatment For Knee Pain From An Injury

I am an ice skater, so I have to perform jumps on my practice sessions. A week ago, I fell on a jump and hit the area slightly bellow my knee cap. It isn t bruised or swollen, it doesn t even look injured, but if I put pressure to it or accidentally hit it to the boards I instantly feel a stinging pain for a minute or two. What is going on with my knee and how do I treat it?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you may be having stress fracture tibia. This may be related to your repeated jumps on your practice. You need to rest for one or two weeks. You can take analgesic such as diclofenac for pain relief. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
