Suggest Treatment For Joints Pain, Fatigue And Chills

Yesterday I developed flue-like symptoms for a 24 hour period, along with joint pain all over, fatigue, chills and fever. The fever broke around 1 am, but today I developed a rash with swelling and pain on my lower right leg. Plus I have pain in my upper right thigh which I experience when I walk (but not sit). I live in MA in a wooded area and unfortunately I have a mouse that occasionally lives in my walls. So Lyme Disease is a real concern. Do my symptoms follow a typical Lyme Disease progression? I intend to call my Dr tomorrow or should I seek help immediately (Urgent Care, etc.)?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I think you may have lyme disease.
You should go to hospital and your doctor will perform tests like Western blot test, ELISA,PCR, to verify it.
You should be treated with antibiotics.
In our clinic we prefer Doxocycline for 14 to 21 days.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
