Suggest Treatment For Jaundice During Pregnancy

Hi, my daughter in law was admitted last thursday to the hospital after feeling sick all week,she is 6 months pregnant, and her Dr ran some blood work and determined that she was having liver problems.The kept her for 3 days and she went home last night. I went by to see her this evening and she is jaundice and still not feeling well.

your treating physician may suggest you viral markers test like anti-HEV Elisa HBsAg anti-HCV
to look for common causes of jaundice
another common cause of jaundice in pregnancy is cholestasis of pregnancy for which your physician might run a S. Bilirubin total, direct and indirect test
also an ultrasound whole abdomen may be required to rule out acute fatty liver of pregnancy
She may be prescribed Ursodeoxycholic acid 300 mg twice a day until S. bilirubin comes back normal
