Suggest Treatment For Itchy Scalp

I have a skin condition which I at first thought were bites. I ruled out all of the most obvious causes: bug bites, dermatitis, bed bugs, scabies, etc. A welt appears on my skin out of nowhere and immediately begins to itch. I have scratched these areas until they have bled and scabbed over. It appears on my hands, legs, neck and scalp. The itching is intense. I have welts that have supposedly stopped causing trouble, then they flare up again. It never seems to go away, They look like mosquito bites at first, but the itching is much worse. I ve had most of them for almost a month, and they take turns flaring up. Could this be a continuing flareup caused by poison ivy in my recent past? I ve been told that once it s in your blood, you basically have contact dermatitis for life.

Hi.
As per your case history of scalp itching, my treatment advice is -
1. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild topical steroid lotion like beclomethasone lotion twice daily on affected part.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral fluconazole taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
