Suggest Treatment For Itchy Rashes Caused From Poison Ivy Plant

I have been dealing with rashes from poison ivy (I m pretty sure) and cleavers (or sticky weed, Velcro weed, as it is sometimes called). This has been going on for about 2 weeks. I have used a number of over the counter creams, as well as prednisone cream from a nurse practitioner. Everyday I have new bumps that show up. The itching is getting to be very difficult to deal with. I want nothing to do with any kind of prednisone.....pills or injection. The prednisone cream has not been the answer. I have had Depomedrol injections in the past for seasonal allergies. Is it possible that it would stop what I m experiencing?

Hello
In fact, I use DepoMedrol injections for things like poison ivy and other contact dermatitis conditions. It has been very effective for my patients so I suggest you ask your NP about getting one
